Students learn basic anatomy and will begin to develop an understanding of the way a figure inhabits space; thus able to successfully reproduce this space in two dimensions. The goal of the course is to learn academic, realistic representation of the figure: Emphasis will be on accurately rendering the figure on the page in proper proportion. Students work up to developing a personal style within the confines of academic figurative art.
The figure is coming out great with the flesh tones. I can see the warm and cool places on the body. The knees seem a little obscured but the proportions look okay.
I like where your composition was going with this piece. It has an interesting angle. I would just like to see more highlights in the skin tone to make the model look even more rounded.
I know that you were unable to finish your project but what you have accomplished is very nicely done. The soft yellow with the earthy green really go well together and you pick up both of those shades in the flesh. If you decide to keep working on it I would suggest blending in the darker shadow surrounding the breast and the thigh area.
You started to do really lovely things with piece such as the color of the skin and the composition. However the fact the it isn't completed is distracting. I am really interested to see what is would look like finished
I honestly really love the missing head. I think it gives substance and interest to your piece. Overall, I love your skin tones. You translate realistic colors for flesh throughout the figure very well.
The flesh tones came out well and proportions seem fine. Its unfinished but I very much like the subtle ranges in values and the unfinished look gives it a nice sense of wonder, a sense of mystery as to the future of the piece.
The flesh tone is very successful. The dark blues and reds work very nicely.
ReplyDeleteEven though you didn't have a lot of time this piece, what you managed wasn't bad for the time given. and the flesh tones do look very realistic.
