  1. The skin tone on this piece were nicely done. The hi lights on the hair look very natural and detailed.

  2. I like the slight curved and harsh lines to create the figure. You captured the realistic mass of the figure well. I also really like the highlights on the leg and shoulder. More definition could be used on the foot and hand to make it more clear instead of blurry.

  3. The skin of your figure is soft and quite believable as flesh. The highlights and shadows are used accurately. Surprisingly, the white background works really well with the the figure; it doesn't seem to make her fade away.

  4. I really like your composition and use of color. I love the highlights on the skin, they really make the model pop. The hair is also very successful, I like how wispy it looks.

  5. You have a very soft and fresh way of working and I really love it. Your paint strokes are so smooth that her skin looks photographic. I really like the glow on her shoulder and the deep coffee color of her pillow. Even though you didn't finish the composition I am so distracted by how well you did with your figure that it really doesn't matter to me.

  6. Overall this piece is effective. I like the accurate proportions of the figure. I think the background could have used a bit more variance or focus. It seems rushed.

  7. This piece is very well done. Its very realistic. I love the subtle tones of shift on the models skin and the reflection in hair. I would also like to see more detailed in the foot, although the foot is well done it does not seem to match the rest of your body. A background would also enhance the piece.

  8. I really enjoyed the perceived simplicity of this piece. The muted but varied tones made for a wonderful little world, and the very slight shifts in color over the figure create a wonderful softness that I know is difficult to achieve.

  9. Nice shadows and highlights on the skin, came out very smooth and realistic. Feels like it should have a bit more in the background though, but that may be a personal preference. Nice job.

  10. I love the emptiness of the background. It ties in very well with the emotion of the piece and the shape of the figure. The figure itself is done very well also. The colors and the values work together to create a smooth and realistic style. The shoulder/breast area stands out as the strongest to me.

  11. This is a very advent piece. The proportions, flesh tone, highlights, shadows and everything are perfect. It's an unfinished that still looks astonishing. I loved how you were the only one who drew the figure from the back, it really captures overall structure of the model. It was a very unique approach to paint at a different angle what hides the models face.

  12. I am still so in love with this piece. The pillows are that burnt colour, there's so much variation in hue and tone--its very well done. The shadows are subtle, as shadows tend to be, and the hair is rendered realistically. I suppose if I could give any suggestions it would be to add some finishing details to the surroundings so the model is not floating in space, but I enjoy this piece so much that I couldn't care if that happened or not.
